Euclidean Triangles

Prof. Dr. Christian Bär

This page generates a triangle in the Euclidean plane. We denote the side lengths by $a$, $b$, and $c$, and the angles by $\alpha$, $\beta$ and $\gamma$.

Use the sine rule or cosine rule to determine three of these quantities from the other three.

After clicking on "update" the result will be shown so that you can compare it with what you got. At the same time a new triangle is generated. You can choose which quantities are given from the dropdown menu "Mode".

This page is based on Sage code written by Robert Fleck for his Bachelor thesis.
